If you create a S/O Sales Order Header UDF of a given length, say 250 and link it to the proper downstream tables (SO Invoice Header, AR Transaction Posting, AR Invoice History) you will create a total of 4 UDFs, each of a length of 250. Next you start to post data which flows through to AR Invoice History.

Now try to change the UDF length in SO Sales Order Header to 400 (you can!). Next try to change it in the other fields (SO Invoice Header, AR Transaction Posting, AR Invoice History). You can't, plus you have UDF data already stored in AR Invoice History. The only way to expand this AR Invoice History Header UDF is to delete the SO Invoice Header, AR Transaction Posting, & AR Invoice History UDFs then re-link to the new 400 character SO Sales Order Header UDF.

This causes you to lose posted UDF data since you have to delete the A/R Invoice History Header UDF, hence this enhancement request.
