Please add the same feature for Sales Order History that exists for Invoice History within Customer Maintenance. If you click the More button drop down list, it has Invoice History which displays a list of that customer's historical invoices, then you can drill down into the Invoice History Inquiry from there. The same exact flow should be available for historical orders and subsequently drilling down to Sales Order History Inquiry.
