Library Master, Task Scheduler jobs will use three different dates: Posting Date (Transaction Date), Run Date (server' system date), and Accounting Date.

The Accounting Date is taken from the last time the Sage 100 User Logon had set the Accounting Date for the company and module (as stored in SY_ModuleDate). This Accounting Date may have last been set days, weeks, or months ago.

In Paperless Office, Journal and Register Viewer, the Accounting Date is a column that can be use for sorting and searches. The Posting Date is NOT available for sorting.

Ideally, the Transaction/Posting Date should be an additional column/variable for PL_JournalPDFLog data table and for P/L Journal and Register Viewer. AND, Task Scheduler jobs should have the option to allow the Accounting Date to be the same as the Posting Date, not taken from an SY_ModuleDate value that may have last been updated days, weeks or even months earlier.

Comments

  • Jobs run from Task Scheduler use the Module date for SYS, this should be classified as a bug not an enhancement
