I have an end user that would prefer to not use the new (with 100c 2017) Advanced Search Index. They would rather continue using the "normal" Autocomplete found in 2016 and prior. Adding an option in User Maintenance to control Advanced Search versus "normal" Autocomplete would be ideal. Thanks!

  • For people like me that are too impatient to wait for Sage to resolve, here is a work around:

    Build Search Index tool appears to be what causes the Auto Fill issue
    To Reverse:
    • Browse to the ..\..\MAS90\MAS_SYSTEM directory on the server
    • Rename or Delete the Index_AC directory that was created
    • The Auto Fill searches go back to searching correctly

  • I'm assuming the option in User Maintenance whould allow 'Advanced' vs 'normal' search for each module/type of search (customer, item, vendor, &c.). For example our users find the advanced search is great for items but not good for customers.
