This is important because when we are trying to find out how many of a certain item are shipping from a certain warehouse, Item Inquiry will display incorrect information if the warehouse is changed after the order is in shipping.

The scenario is: when a shipping invoice has been created for a sales order, and the warehouse for an item on that order is changed, then that change doesn't reflect for some reason in Item Quantity Inquiry under "On SO".

The change DOES reflect for the In Shipping column - making me think this is just a programming oversight(?) - so if a quantity is entered in the Shipping column on the invoice for an item whose warehouse has been changed, another line will display in Item Qty Inquiry for that warehouse with that quantity In Shipping (assuming it is the only one of that item in shipping for that warehouse). But it will NOT add the invoice's ordered quantity for that warehouse under On SO, which is just not accurate.

So until there is a quantity in the Shipping column (i.e., until the item has been picked), no one can see that the item is going to ship out of a different warehouse, so for example our purchasing department looks at the available data and assumes that they need to bring some product into the original warehouse even though we've decided to ship out of a different one.

So we just need the "On SO" quantity to update like the "In Shipping" quantity when we change the warehouse on an invoice. It seems like a simple fix, and it would help us tremendously.
