Add the Allow Backorders to Miscellaneous Items. Unless the quantity ordered is changed to the quantity shipped for Miscellaneous Items, it will automatically create a Backorder. Large grocery chains do not allow backorders from their suppliers. Take off the Allow Backorders and it works fine for regular items ( type 1 ). A common example is when each regular item has a separate miscellaneous item with a Promo Allowance. The result is Backorders with /PROMO lines only.
