We pay for the payroll subscription AUTOMATICALLY every year (or our access is disabled), yet we often have to find out the hard way that updates are available and need to be installed - after we've run into problems. Sage doesn't have any trouble notifying us that payment is due and running the charge - it seems an email notification that payroll updates are available wouldn't be that difficult. We used to get them... let's do that again!

  • Have your Sage Partner set up the Sage Update Advisor program to alert you. It comes with the software and is usually installed automatically although the correct person may not be getting the notifications.

    That being said, it is extremely important to follow all procedures (such as backups) before actually installing any update.
