Payroll Version 2.20.2 still does not let you enter the last name of the employee in the Employee No field to locate an employee. You have to go to the lookup screen. This was supposed to be in 2.0. When will this be available?

That functionality is available in your version of Payroll. In Library Master > Setup > System Configuration, on the Preferences tab, Enable Auto-Complete must be selected. Then run Library Master > Utilities > Build Search Index. Building the search index will need to be done periodically to keep it up to date. The task can be scheduled to run with Library Master > Main > Task Scheduler.
Once that is done when you are in Employee Maintenance when you start typing in the Employee No field the popup should appear with matches to what is being typed.
I forgot that Auto-Complete is also controlled by user in User Maintenance. On the Auto-Complete folder in User Maintenance, you can enable/disable the feature for Account, Customer, Employee, Item and Vendor.
