Can we have a field for template description in Sage Production

It would be very useful to have a description field for templates in Sage Production. Currently it uses the description of Step 000000 as the description which is of no use as that is the description of work to be performed for step 000000

  • The Template No. is 30 characters, allowing it to be descriptive. Is it still necessary to have a template Description? If so, how long should it be?

  • Why does the description of STEP 000000 apply to the entire template? - this is very Confusing! There should be an additional description for the entire template and a description for STEP 000000.

  • This is planned for the 2025 Release, scheduled for April 2025.
    A new template "Description" field will be added in Work Ticket Template Maintenance. The "Step Description" field will only be used for the Step No.
