It seems that Sage 100 does not factor double time correctly for Workers Compensation. Workers Compensation is correctly factored at Regular time 100%, Overtime at 66% and Double time 50%,
In Earnings Code Maintenance, Earnings Type, there is only options of regular or overtime, double time is not an option. If you choose overtime for double time on this option, all overtime calculations in other forms are skewed, The best option I have found is to put everything to Regular time and do General Journal Entries quarterly.
We are using Payroll for Union Construction and layoff is pay-off, so we do 300-400 payrolls in a year. Most payrolls are around 5 to 40 employees.
Is there another way to make Sage 100 calculate Workers Compensation correctly.

Overtime/Doubletime hours are factored differently based on options you have selected as the Calculation Method and Overtime Calc. Method in Workers Compensation Maintenance.
Here are couple examples:
EXAMPLE #1:
Overtime pay is taxed at a straight rate. The total of the regular, overtime and doubletime hours will be used as the wage base.
Calculation Method= Percentage of Gross Earnings
Overtime Calc. Method=Straight
Regular wages: $800
Overtime wages $280
Doubletime wages: $200
Wage base= $1,280
EXAMPLE #2:
Overtime pay is taxed at a factored rate. In other words, only the straight time portion of overtime is subject to the tax.
Calculation Method= Percentage of Gross Earnings
Overtime Calc. Method=Factored
Regular wages: $800
Overtime wages (calculated as 1.5 times regular wages): $280
Doubletime wages (calculated as 2.0 times regular wages): $200
Wage base: 800 + (280/1.5) + (200/2.0) = $1,086.67
I would suggest calling support to have them review your specific W/C setup.
