When merging Item A to Item B, change the SO & PO Line descriptions and link for the Extended Description to the fields for Item B. Currently when Item A is merged into Item B, the SO and PO Line descriptions and Extended Description Link are not changed. Our client uses the Extended Description extensively and had to delete all of the SO lines and re-enter with the new item code to correct this problem. The only other solution is to export all of the SO's and POs related to the change and then import the correct information. That is alot of programming to fix a problem.
