Often the unit cost in an OVERDIST tier is invalid, so we always want to remove these tiers from IM_ItemCost as soon as the negative quantity is offset, so future over-distribution transactions will use a then-more-current unit cost (compared with the previous bad value, which can be zero). However, the only Sage utility to do that (Remove Zero Quantity Costing Tiers) removes _all_ zero quantity cost tiers (by date), which some clients don't want (for their own reasons).
A utility that purges only OVERDIST tiers with no quantity / value (regardless of date) would be appreciated.

Yes, I agree that this would be very helpful!
Why stop at just the OVERDIST tiers? Expand the utility to include ANY tier that has a zero QTY and a value. Many times (due to rounding?), tiers remain that have small values. They are not included when the purge utility is ran.
Agree with Jeff.
I am all in favor of this. I have this pending issue to fix for a client.
This would be a tremendous help! Cost tiers with no quantity that still have a value should also be addressed but with a separate utility that zero's out those values and creates a report that can be used to adjust the general ledger for the values that were removed.
Yes, that's a very good suggestion. Let's hope it gets approved and implemented.
Being able to schedule a task for this utility would be helpful as well. Then you could have it run everyday without someone having to remember to do it.
