Sage will not let me change the Product Type on an item that is setup as a kit once a Bill of Materials is created for it. So, if I would like to discontinue this item that is a kit under the Product Type in Item maintenance. I must delete the Bill of Materials for this item first. What I would much rather do is discontinue the item and make the Bill of Materials inactive. This way I can still see the components of the inactive / discontinued Bill of Materials
