The Select tab has a Check Box to allow User Input for selecting records after fields are assigned.
Unfortunately the Record tab only allows for static text input inside of Job Maintenance.
If users could input selection values when a VI job is run the following benefits are available: The job runs much FASTER when Record (select) logic is used because unwanted records are SKIPPED before they are processed. The number of invalid field/record assignments can be reduced so jobs complete without either unwanted or invalid data sneaking through the validation process. Visual Integrator would be a much more flexible tool.
