Existing function assigns Next General Journal Entry #. The reversing GJE# should assign the same Entry/Register/Journal number and Posting Date of the original entry.

• The reversing entry will use the original posting date. If the posting date falls within a closed period, it will display a message indicating the date that will be used for the reversal.
