Many of our vendors have issued us an account number, but there's no dedicated field in Vendor Maintenance to enter that, or other pertinent information, so it often ends up in the comment field. It would be nice to have a dedicated field for that right on the main tab. I suppose we could put them in a memo, but that has to be opened (or set to "always open" and then have to be closed every time.) I could modify the tab to include it, but when going into customization there is often much more there than regularly shows, and knowing just where to place it is often a matter of trial and error.

  • Go to Custom Office and rename the Comments field on the Additional Tab in Vendor Maintenance to Our Account No. (If you don't know how to use Custom Office, ask your Sage business partner to show you). I embed this field on my check stubs in Crystal so when the check prints, the vendor sees our account number on the stub, along with the invoices we're paying. A very easy fix to this.
