If rent is generated for the next month before all the move-ins and move-outs are completed, then the vacancy loss originally created for the next month is being reversed or adjusted in the accounting period entered during the move-in or move-out.
For example, rent is generated for June on a property and vacancy loss is calculated for a vacant unit. The move in is done for the end of May. The vacancy loss adjustment includes the prorate for May and reverses June but all in the same accounting period for May. Therefore, May is over adjusted. We have to make GL journal entries every month to allocate the vacancy loss adjustments correctly between periods.
This is taking hours of additional work to reconcile the amounts and determine the correct adjustments to make in GL.

Hey – how can I economically issue the same work order – meaning the same information – to multiple locations without having to call up each location re-enter all the same information for each of the 25 locations….
Basically, all I need to change is the location, everything else will stay the same, but the location field is locked out to me to change when I call up a work order and attempt to do that.
I just want to change the location (everything else stays the same) and do a “save as” if you will……
Any thoughts??
