We have multiple vendors whose names get cut off because the field does not allow enough characters. We need this limit increased please. Thanks.

We have needed this for years!!
This is long overdue and embarrassing when we have to tell new implementation clients about this archaic limitation.
Ridiculous that this hasn't been made a priority.

Agree with all above, but there are also legal ramifcations to not having a field for the legal company name...not just a descrition field...and make the field have unlimited characters.

Sage -- please listen to your users. This character limit is ridiculous (as are the similar limits placed on Standard Cost Codes, Job Descriptions, etc.), especially at the price point you charge. This is a lay up; please, please action this.
Our legal counsel does not want us using the vendor name to set up commitments because too many names are truncated or abbreviated. It would be more acceptable if the names were not limited to only 30 characters.
Same as above, our legal counsel is having issues with the truncated or abbreviated names as they need to match exactly what their legal names are.
In the world we live in today, Vendor names exceed 30 characters on a regular basis. It would be nice if we didn't have to make due with the 30 characters by putting the additional text in the Address 1 field. This creates issue when running reports, creates additional work when processing 1099s, Lien Waivers that do not have the complete Vendor Name. I can't see how it would be very difficult to increase the field size to 50.
