Is it possible to show notes attached to an invoice, or at least make it known that there are notes attached to the invoice. In Timberscan when notes are attached, they automatically pop up anytime the record gets used. That goes away when the invoice gets exported to Timberline.
Sometimes there are notes regarding payment, hold, when to pay, what back up might be needed prior to release of payment etc. It would be helpful to know there are notes attached to an invoice without having to open the attachment. Opening every invoice attachment during a payable run is not practical.

  • I would suggest using the "hold in AP" function in Timberscan and turning the approvals on in timberline. That way any invoice you put on "hold in AP" must be manually approved in timberline. This would allow you to flag these items and put them on hold in AP and also copy the important notes from the second tab of the notes to the first one on the invoice (then the note will turn white with the paperclip).

  • What is the point of a note if you have to know to look for it.
