In Payroll, let us mark an employee as inactive. Then by default, have the PR reports exclude inactive employees.

Great idea!!
Excellent idea, but just keep an option to print reports with those employees inactive.
This can be done in Sage 300 CRE. You can create it under Employee Checklist. I have mine set up as active and all active's have a check mark and inactives is left blank.
Yes! Some employees return some do not, allow employees to be terminated or inactive.
Beverly, I agree that it can be done through the Employee Checklist; however then all of the reports would need to be customized to exclude inactive employees. It would be nice if Sage had this "Inactive Employee" feature in a future release. Sage did an excellent job when they added the "Inactive Vendor" field, and updated the vendor reports accordingly!
