  • Include with correction for defect 49284 The ability to use any date when writing a manual quick print check without any error or warning

  • This is such a big problem! We just spent an entire day sorting out an accounting mess because AP Enter Invoices did not give us a warning of an accounting date that was mistyped, and was 12 months in the future. WHY is something so easy to implement not getting taken care of??

  • This is crazy this even exists! We are still trying to fix an issue and have spent a whole day dealing with a bad date. Sage now has to have an expert team figure out how to fix this. It all could have been prevented if there was a system in place that would prevent you period from entering in a date outside of the parameters you set in the settings.

  • I agree. You can close periods to prevent entering older dates, but there doesn't seem to be anything to prevent the entry of far-future dates. We've had several accidental entries of those, and it's a real pain to fix.

  • There is a warning that this is a future date, but it does not stop you. Right after a period end is where I tend to make this mistake because I assume that it is warning me, for example that I am positing in January when my year end is still open. Agree that there should be a limit or at least a "counted" period warning. My eyesight is getting worse and the boxes are not getting any bigger so I made this mistake a few times recently. The worst part is you can't just change the entry to what you need it to be.
