Increase the Contract Item ID's to a longer number of characters, and also be able to insert a dash, or a period to make them correspond to item id's on a master schedule of values from a GC, which normally correlate to the project phase- And make it so that I can insert them in a specific place, if one is overlooked/missed when entering numerous ones, and being able to order them in whatever order I want, not just have them sort numerically.

By More Dynamic, I mean, when I get to the end of entering all of the contract items by the numerical item id, and I find out I missed one, being able to insert another one or two or whatever is needed, in between 2 existing item id's; being able to re arrange their organization other than numerically, in case that doesnt work.
I am having the same issue as Shelley with regards to the Dynamic. There needs to be a way to insert an ID specifically where you want it to be inserted or be able to renumber the ID. Or as simple as if you put 2A as the ID it goes right after the ID #2
If Sage had to actually use contracts they would have implemented this already. We have to abreviate our contract item descriptions on every job. We have jobs with thousands of contract items. It's not that difficult for Sage to open up this field. SAGE - Are you listening???
