Having an option to create an auto-numbered ID would allow us to eliminate mistakes that are frequently made in the system due to free-edit vendor, supplier or employee ID's and improve overall data quality. Since we have multiple companies running on the same database, we frequently see problems when integrating with MS Access where ID's are duplicated in the same table.

We would like to see the ability to set auto-numbered ID's with the option of a static prefix.
format would be something like: A-12345, but we'd even be happy with a simple numeric ID.
