We would like an enhancement to the General Ledger account setup that allows us to Close or Inactivate a GL Account. This would prevent entries from posting to an account that is no longer used.

This is so rudimentary, you would think they already have it. This would make life so simple. Every other accounting software has this ability
I could not agree more - it is no different that being able to inactivate a vendor no longer in use.

From knowledge base articles, it seems like your other products have this capability. Please add it to Sage 300 CRE as well.

Really need this feature. Its ridiculous to have to condition or export to separate out the accounts you dont need.
Please implement as soon as possible. Even when you show DO NOT USE in the account description staff still posts and J/E's are needed.
