Sage products, like Timberline/SAGE 300 CRE should be compatible with Microsoft's office flagship product, O365 2013 & 2016.

Currently none of the versions of the software are supported, which means this technology is a minimum of 3 years behind based on Microsoft release schedule. o365 products have been available since 2011, and evolved to the 2013 and now 2016 versions. This is a major miss in connectivity to an office product line that is used in businesses on a daily basis and is supposed to have a direct connection to the sage product.

Needs to support reporting, email functions, and especially ODBC connectivity.

  • Agreed! Major miss. We cannot even purchase Office 2013-32 bit through conventional channels according to our IT people. We were even willing to 'downgrade' to the 32 bit version to make this work. Not only is it imperative to keep up with Microsoft, it would be convenient to move to a 64- bit compatibility as well.

  • Need ODBC!!!!

  • I see this is an old comment, but unless something has changed, they are compatible. We use Office 365, and are on 2016. We used it with Sage 300 version 14.1 and now are using it with version 16.1. Not sure who is telling you it's not compatible, but they are wrong.

Agreed on the 64bit - it's annoying, but 64bit office isn't supported by almost anyone.

  • I am running version 17.1I need 64 Bit ODBC connectivity as I can't run 64 bit office. Sage requires 64 bit O/s but doesn't support 64 bit ODBC connectivity. I also use Document Designer.

32 Bit version excel doesn't use more than 2 GB memory. a waste of system resources.

  • Agreed! We are trying to connect Microsoft Power BI with Sage 300 CRE and we need a 64-bit ODBC driver. The 32bit system needs to be upgraded please.
