When setting up a job in JC I would like to see a job number automatically assigned. You would open up JC, go to setup and enter the address of the job into the address field, if the job address is a duplicate you receive an error message. At the error message you will be allowed alter the job address; say the address was used years ago and the job is closed but the customer wants something new, it's the same address but you would alter it buy picking an approved addition, like reopen job, or adding additional equipment, adding an AC, etc...But, if it's a new job that has been entered already, you would stop and pick no-do not continue adding this job.

We currently enter our job numbers from an Excel spread sheet, and although we have formats and conditions to prevent duplications, they still happen. We had the same job address entered into JC three different times with three different job numbers. If this feature was in place, the second time that address was entered, the administrator would have received and error message.
