It would be great if you could say "Mary, please exit A/P", instead of "Everybody out of Accpac".

  • Absolutely. When you have to kick everyone out, everyone has to wait for everyone to get out, which can take a while. If this is limited to just a module and/or user, the down time is cut DRAMATICALLY.

  • Agreed I support this suggestion

  • Agreed. How about also a server-based method to disconnect or terminate a user's session? this happens when a user has gone home and remained signed in to Accpac.

  • Agreed. Need to make the Admin account a full, server-based Administrator account, with the ability to lock out the database, terminate a user's session, be able to send a message to all logged in users, etc. This would be very helpful when doing any network maintenance, database maintenance, data dumps, integrity checks, or upgrades.

  • Would also be useful to be able to temporarily block access to all users (except ADMIN?) to a module, so that once they are out, they are prevented from going back into that module.

  • Also, be able to see who is in without being logged in already. This would be useful if you're trying to log into Accpac but can't because all the Lanpaks are in use.

  • Rebekah's suggestion is a MUST. I found myself in need of that today. I was told we were out of licenses, but I couldn't find out who I needed to go shout at because I couldn't log in to see who was using the licenses.

  • And a refresh button on the Lanpak User screen. Please

  • Totally agree to refresh button on LANPAK user screen and see which user is accessing which module.

  • Agreed on this. It would also be helpful that this tool would show if a user had a module consuming the memory of the system which causes a slow down. In the past we have had to have everyone log out of the system which can take 20-30 mins to ensure everyone is out.

Currently if something happens, I have been going to every terminal to see what people are running. It would be much more beneficial to be able to use a portal to view consumption by user.

  • Yes we totally agreed.

  • I totally agreed to this

  • Oh I feel like God. I have the ability with a couple of clicks to see everyone logged on, what time they logged on, how long their session has been idle for, and with one click, I can disconnect them, one at a time or all of them. Beautiful . . .
