User should be able to create batches that cannot be accessed by anyone else. Or create supervisor role that can access them. This is a real problem in AP. There are some batches that should not be seen by regular AP clerks. Currently anyone can open and view them. There are some very large AP customers where AP clerks should not be able to look at other AP clerks batches.

Yes, batches should only be edited by the person inputing the info. Others should be able to view but not edit the batch.
This is required by many customers, as any body can see any body's batches. This challenge is more, where Branch wise accounting is done.
This is not only required at AP level, also need to have all batches level, Like PO,OE,AR,GL etc.
We should realy work on this to have much control operations.
Also add "Entered by" field on every batch header.
Display "Entered by" data on every transaction.
Limit on access to other people's batches would have to be a setup option, and possibly security controls would need to allow some levels of users permission to access and modify other people's batches.
Yes, Accpac needs a group function so that you can limit who can see what in ACCPAC. Would make is 10x more usable for large companies.
I agree that user can open, print, delete, modify their batch. Should show which user opened batch in batch header. No one else can enter into that batch unless have supervisor level. Create different supervisory level for AP Invoice and AP Payments.
