This is available as a third party product - Bin Tracking by Orchid Systems
Bin Tracking is very good. Best is to incorporate as part of the I/C product.
Agreed. Commonly asked for by prospects using any sort of warehousing
Particularly useful for tracking different locations of bulk (sealed) stock and ready (open) stock.
Need to be able to nest bins and label the levels eg to track pallets in bins
Although it is available via third party one must purchase that module separately from IC and the interactions between the two systems leaves room for error.
Integrating with IC would be great especially if a site uses serial and lot. Third party solution means impossible to reconcile control (IC) to sub (third party solutions) having experienced this first hand with an existing third party solution.
This is a years old post on this forum. I commented on it sometime in 2015 I think. Sitting at 116 votes at 23 Jan 2020.
Hey Sage, it would be VERY useful to show the date on each post - hardly edge of your seat stuff. I know you store the dates in the forum data, so don't say it cant be displayed. Oh, that's right, you don't say anything. Ever. To anyone here. Sigh.
