  • Useful when changing a component item due to stock shortage and substitute can be used. No need to add Kit in Inventory master record for infrequent changes to item kits. Also provides visibilty at the order level of what was used for kit. Great feature for customers that want a special kit.

  • Maybe its been said already, but just want to add, that also allow to edit a component even when a kit is part of a Sales Order

  • it would be really nice for this to be a std feature, i took it as a given that you could do this by default until I was at a new client today where we needed to do exactly this..
    There is an easy work around which is not that nice but you need to ship the kit and then do a new line for the item that you wanted to vary - put the item from the kit in as a negative qty and then ship out the correct item. At least that also shows that the std kit has been modified.

  • This has been on the list for at least 2 years now. Workarounds are all very well but when there is a queue of people waiting to be served, it is just not practical.

  • We are struggling with this feature not being available.
    Having just started with Sage 300 and new kits being built, its extremely difficult to fix any kit errors once the kits are in sales orders.

  • We use TaiRox Productivity Tools for this function. Its an add-on but it accomplishes this function.

  • Yes, please. The was available in Accpac Plus with an add-on. After all these years, Accpac Windows/Sage 300 has never provided this much needed feature.
