Want to have a more powerful search function which allow to enter Item Description in the column (within the grid) and program auto retrieve or pop up the closest match item number. instead of having to call the Finder every time.

The idea is not new. Just that Accpac still lack of powerful search function.

• Wherever there is a "Next" arrow on a field, if you key the first characters and then click "Next", it should retrieve the nearest entry which matches (ie the first entry the finder would have displayed if you had pressed the finder). In many cases you wouldn't need to go into the finder at all.
  
  Competing (and cheaper) products have such a function on items numbers, and the lack of such a feature in Accpac is not good when demonstrating to prospects.
