Most of my clients use the first few letters of an employee's Last name plus a number to create an Employee code. A number changer would allow that code to be changed in the event of a name change.

Utility should be similar to the other number change utilities - Change or Combine.
Definintely needed - have been asking for several years now.
I agree!
Yes, I could of used this many times.
I would absolutely use this feature!!!
CodePartners has this as an add on product now. It allows the change of an existing employee number to a new employee number across the system. Finishes the process in seconds. Works with US and Canadian Payroll. Currently it works with Sage Accpac ERP versions 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6.
Here is a link to a demo video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhwIjFAnd6o.
Agree, there should be a way to change the employee number in payroll and not lose any earnings or employment insurance history.
Yes this would be great. We use the first 3 letters of the last name followed by a number so if a person changes their name for what ever reason their number does not make sense any more.
Although Code partners does have the employee number change program it does not work very well,(As in it destroys your payroll history records) It also limits you changing one employee at a time rather than mapping like G/L Number change does.
Hi, I am Emma from CodePartners. We haven't heard this complaints before. You can contact us at "info@codepartners.com" and we will be happy to help with any issues. Also, the program now does work for a list of changes, which enables you to run the employee numbers changes in a batch with one click.
