Be able to product a standard report that allows you to reconcile PJC WIP back to the GL as at a date or year or period. Currently it is incredibly difficult to accurately reconcile these two modules.

it doesn't even cover all contract\project types if you have any hope of trying to balance wip you need to extract data from the Project & Contract header tables as a snapshot to try and balance that to the GL. Unless there is a better way to do it?
I agree - We have spent a lot of time on Crystal trying to get WIP reports for customers

I agree as well. My year end work is extensive with this report, and I have 3 companies to work with.
This would be a great report if it picked up the correct info. We opened a new database and tried to balance WIP using the Aged WIP report. It picked up a stored cost for some reason on just one of the jobs so it doesn't balance. If the error could be corrected and we could select dates it would be very helpful.
Sage, any response please? 3 years and a flaw marked as critical by senior business partners. PJC suffers from generally poor to average and difficult reporting - its a real consideration that gives us pause before recommending it to clients.
PJC WIP is not just releated reporting, it is related to PJC recognize revenue and stores the info. If we fix how we capture recognized revenue the way client wants than reporting side is piece of cake.
