In previous versions of Accpac you could click on the detail of a deposit in the bank rec Screen and then mark off individual receipts. You can no longer do this.
Can this feature be put back in the system as it is very valuable.
Once again explaining to users that a feature they previously had, once they upgrade they will lose, makes it difficult to upgrade clients.

Agree, removing features always creates issues with clients. Especially if there is no explanation on why the feature was removed. Leaves us consultants in a bad position trying to explain it.
I agree. We create a transfer between accounts at the end of each month. Once in a while, they don't all clear the bank on the same day. This means we now have to create a seperate transfer for each item instead of just clearing the ones that cleared the bank that month. Why Sage would remove features in an update is incomprehensible.

In Canada, with client with multiple online Visa/Mastercard/Debit terminals, the settlements are done at a time determined by the provider, and result in deposits grouped by type of card and further grouped by date. This feature made it possible for us to reconcile the bank within Accpac, which would no longer be possible in 5.6. This was an invaluable procedure. Deposits on a Monday include transactions from the previous Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Without the ability to reconcile the components, Accpac will not handle this properly
This is a serious handicap for anyone who is using the bank rec, and needs to be resolved ASAP.
PLEASE NEVER remove a feature without publishing the removal, the reason, and the correct way of achieving the same result.

Hey Mary - we are listening :). We are testing this on our end and trying to figure out steps before writing out a response.
Just out of curiousity - how many people actually tried this out in 5.6? If so, can you quickly point out the steps you are referring to in the original post?

I agree with you all. Please put this feature back in because it will be a real drag clearing entries for NSF cheques etc. Actually, this is the MAIN REASON, I have delayed upgradng to version 5.6 so far.

For goodness sake please put this back in. Clients can't reconcile their bank accounts properly and are having to manually keep track of individual receipts within a deposit. Please fix it quick!
PLEASE RESTORE THE ABILITY TO CLEAR INDIVIDUAL RECEIPTS. The loss of this feature only creates more work and increases the likelihood for human error. This functionality was very key and I am dumbfounded as to why it was removed.
Just an update I have arranged with Sage to remote in on one of my clients so they can see the clients perspective.
Still fighting the good fight - will update you after Sage have seen this first hand.

But with 41 votes today, and having been posted 3 months ago, my guess is that this forum is PR so we let off steam, and then forget about it.
And great that Sage could remote in a month ago to see the client's pain, but still waiting.
I'm definately not happy this feature was removed.

After serious testing with Sage and them acknowledging that our clients need to use this I have received the following "At present there are no plans in 5.6 for partial detail receipts, it will be a longer term consideration possibly for 6.0 or 6.1 "

This is still needed in 5.6. Many of our clients have deposit batches of credit card receipts for the day. These rarely all clear at once.
