Currently there is no way to re-direct certain employee payments such as severance pay to a t4a due to the fact that this payment is not subject to E.I or CPP..and should not end up on an employees T4.
As well we have a contractor division that we are now required to cut T4A's .
These are basic functions that should be included in a payroll package of this magnitude .

AGree- T4 A's needed
I agree, however severance is no longer required on a T4A. However we all need the option for contractors!
Definitely need this. This can simply be done by creating a new tax type (like T4ATAX say) that can be attached to T4A-type earnings but also gets picked up on CRA remittance reports.
This is STILL not in 7.2. And I have been told there are no plans to include the efile in the December Tax Update. Does anyone have any suggestions how we can assist our clients in being CRA compliant?
