When updating Accpac Payroll, it would be a lot easier if there wasn't a need to activate the product as part of the payroll update (PUP) installation process

  • I would like to add that the whole update process needs to be simplified, i.e. click an Update button somewhere and have the whole thing taken care of. This should be a simple end user task, not something that results in frustrating support calls.

  • It would be ok, as long as we were notified that an update had taken place. We have some special tax rules and have to reset the limits every update.

  • This was completed in the March 2010 PUP update and onwards. Both Canadian and US payroll PUP.
