Currently if you give somebody ODBC access to the database they have access to all and sundry which completely defeats the purpose of having a Security Model inside Accpac.
Sage should provide and ODBC driver for Accpac that lets us get at the data whilst maintaining the security model that is setup within the system. EG. If you only have access to GL and AR then these are the only two modules that you should be able to extract data from.

Don't think this is an issue anymore w/ SQL Native Client. No More Direct ODBC configuration on the workstations.
What about other supported databases?
