More and more clients are moving to virtualization solutions and several are considering or have already adopted the Microsoft Hyper-V solution because they can get it at a lower price than VM Ware and it is all part of their Microsoft Software Stack (or at least that is how it is being sold).

I have already lost a client who was considering upgrading a very old version of Accpac to 5.6 but decided not to as they have implemented a virtualized IT server farm solution using Microsoft Hyper-V and did not want to bring their Accpac into that solution if it was not supported. They are still considering upgrading their business systems but not considering an Accpac upgrade as an alternative because Sage is not supporting the Hyper-V infrastructure they have invested in.

This problem will become more prevalent as more clients choose this solution going forward. VM ware is not the only player anymore.
