This would be helpful for people with large general Ledgers that need to drill in from say location/department/division.

It would save time in data entry and account selection and could be used in really any area to create cascading finds.

Create a Dynamic Finder windows that allow you to run searches in searches to narrow down your selection based on your prior selection. Example If using the finder for a G/L Account First prompt would ask for description of segment 1 code, then Segment 2, then Segment 3 and so on, showing only available segments within the selection. For other finders you could select AR customers first by Account Group, then by Billing cycle etc and see a list dynamically rather than scrolling through hundreds of accounts.

  • An absolutely vital need for this. As a business partner without exception every single client asks for this. Once they realise that they have to create a GL account for every required segment combination then this comes up.
