I have just upgraded to 6.0 and am doing my first bank reconciliation. The new bank rec uses batch date for deposits rather than receipt date. For example, I received cheques and went to the bank on Dec 22, 23 and 29. I didn't enter these recipts into Accpac until January 3. When i entered a new batch I didn't think to change the batch date (as it didn't matter in the previous version). I assume this is quite standard accounting not to enter batches everyday. It seems illogical going forward that I should be fudging my batch dates at the beginning of every month so that the deposits can be cleared properly in the bank rec section of accpac. So I would like to have the option to have the recipt date be used in the bank reconciliation, like previous versions.

Previous versions worked this way too. In fact it is the deposit date that is used, so you should be telling the system the deposit date. Using your suggestion a deposit would be split up over 3 entries (in your example). This is not how it appears on most bank statements so reconciliation would be more difficult.
if you are not seeing the deposit date you dont have the product update loaded.
Its the deposit date that is now visible and easier to advise users to adhere to
We would like this too, so that we can import one batch, containing 100 misc receipts across each day of the month (multiple receipts for each day, different banks, and coding, etc). As it is, we can create 100's of spreadsheets to import, or enter the transactions manually - one misc receipt per batch.
