Anything that has a GL account entered that is not a control account needs the ability to use transactional optional fields ie being able to only enter the optional fields at the invoice detail level is insufficient, many users simply need to record miscellaneous receipts or bank entries and it would extend the system extensively if optional fields could be entered at these locations. Basically if someone is coding a transaction, then an optional field should be allowed so that it can go through to the GL.
