when clicking Save, or Change, or any activity that requires the user to wait for the system to process, please change the pointer to the hourglass pointer, to inform the user that they have to wait. I see so many users click buttons several times because they don't know the system is doing something.

This is compounded by the fact that IE has eliminated the status bar progress bar.
