Sage Accpac has tried to use built in functionality, thus the functionality added on 6.1 to create PO from OE was just to launch the existing UI, this is not all that worth it.
What should have been created, is a UI that displays the Items from the current order, have radio button for Purchase All Items on Current Order, Item Qty Out of Stock,… and Manual Selection. This last one, allows the user to select the Items and Qty they want to purchase. Also, allow to overwrite the values, such as Qty, Cost, Expected Receipt Date…
Other fields that should be added are: Vendor, Ship To… to override what is in IC Vendor Details.
This mechanism will allow the user to control what they are purchasing and who are the buying.
Alternately, the could just enhance the Create PO from OE.

Agreed. Unfortunately this looks like another case of Sage allowing themselves to remove something from the ideas list without actually delivering what the idea was requesting.
I would vote for this twice if I could. In the meantime, CodePartners has a component for this. But it should be included as described above.
If Sage cant do it properly, they should include Tirox Productivity Tools.
Also to accept or reject the order before it generates a PO number.
This functionality is absolutely Basic for any business with stock??
There is only a create PO button. should display PO number in OE details and possibly drill down to PO
