When there are errors in PI posting, the system does not indicate this and leaves the batch open. It is not obvious to a user that this has occurred and means that a stocktake is not necessarily posted.
What should happen is that there should be a check function to tell you that there are errors that need to be fixed and then once all the errors are fixed, then the stocktake should be able to be posted.
Alternatively the correct stocktakes should be posted and an error batch created with just the lines with errors AND a message that comes up saying "There is an error batch" so that users know to go and look
