In version 5.6 you use to be able to switch between a datapipe report, or an ODBC. But in 6.0 you have to use either or per module. An example, in OE if you have written reports in ODBC, you have to stick to those reports for all of your OE reports. According to our partner, this was a bug that was fixed in 6.0

It's always been the same in all versions. Whether the report is datapipe or table based is defined by the INI file settings for each individual report. It's never applied across an entire module.
Yes your right, but we use to be able to mix and match both ODBC and Datapipe reports. An example is for we used the default PO datapipe report as it was quicker, but used an ODBC report for outbound PO because we couldn't get the information we wanted via the dll.
As far as I recall this has never been an available option. It has always involved changing the ini file for any particular report unless you have a special routine that replaces or alters the file. I only go back as far as version 3 so maybe it was before that.
However I agree it would be nice to be able to seemlessly switch between datapipe and table reports without haveing to mdify an ini file.
