The powers that be have decided that we are to run a 15 month "year" changing our accounting date from 30/09/13 to 31/12/13.
So we need a 15 month "year" for this year"
and as of January when doing comparatives would like January to match with January etc instead of January Vs October
Surely we are not the first company to ever change their accounting year end and require Accpac to be able to assist.
Options per our business partner give us very little choice and the option open to us is not overly acceptable having to run a 12 month and a 3 month year and manually add them together!
PLEASE
Can someone point us in the right direction?

As usual
Saggy are as good as a waterproof teabag
Or a parachute that opens on impact
Or a chocolate fireguard
Or a left handed spoon
you get the idea
I have used data repair to change fiscal year ends. Depending on the size of database and modules used it can be costly but is the best way to reconfigure the entire database so you have both your history and reports correct immediately. Call mark from raven at 780-232-4966 for more info.
I strongly agree that a Fiscal period extension has been long overdue as such many businesses has raised this issue on the absence of this function in Sage 300 ERP. I hope an additional option of 6 months to be added for Fiscal calender.
yes, this flexibility is long overdue.
We often received question from customers why can't they just extend the fiscal periods? Especially the system does not allow posting to future periods.
These "empty" future periods should be allowed to incorporate or extend into current fiscal year.
