This would allows the aggregate votes to be seen.
Because idea creation is uncontrolled the same ideas easily get fragmented, and then don't attract the attention they deserve from members and Sage.
Method suggestions:
Allow the original poster of an idea to merge it to another.
System automatically removes duplicate votes across the source and destination ideas from the same user.
