Batch processing is a relic of the past. Its pros are touted as 'flexibility' and 'more control'. But think about it - a transaction basically has to be pushed from the operations suite to the sub ledger to the GL and then finally posted there! Organizations should have an employee just for posting!
This process also adds a huge layer of clunkiness to the application and is a bottleneck to Sage 300ERP becoming a lean, mean competitor to SAP Business One, setup (During posting, creating and posting a new batch) notwithstanding.
