We occasionally get asked to supply a statement at date XXXXXX - normally this is a financial year end of a customer and their auditors are trying to get 3rd party confirmation.

Anyway
If you have printed a statement after that (the requested) date, it is impossible to print their statement.

You can print it and age it at current date but not at the date requested
You can change the document cut off date - but it ages it as at current date

Yet you can print an AR trial balance at whatever date you want - but is does not show order numbers - so makes it more difficult for the customer to use

Surely the logic is the same for both reports

This is because it registers last statement date printed and holds it in some table - is this really required as a default as having the ability to prit open dates is really desirable
