We import bank statements into Sage in the OFX format. It is our understanding that Sage only matches transactions based on the transaction reference, not the amount. The issue is that generally, the only transaction references that are the same on both the OFX statements and within our Sage system are cheques. For all other transactions (credit and debit cards and cash deposits), the reference used on the OFX statement that was downloaded from our bank does not match what we have in our Sage system.
Is there any way we can have the transactions clear based on amount rather than transaction reference?
